Maria Mignone
Millinery, Costume Crafts and Technology
Maria Mignone has been working as the Costume Craftsperson at The Alley Theatre in Houston since 2018. While there she has had the opportunity to work on many shows and with many designers from all over. She has been able to work on different projects that include painting and dyeing, millinery, jewelry, shoe maintenance, foam costumes and masks.
Previously she has had the opportunity to work with Lynne Mackey at her Lynne Mackey Studio in New York City. There she was able to work on millinery for Broadway, film, regional theatres and ballet companies, and national tours. She also spent three years at The Santa Fe Opera (two as an Apprentice Milliner and one as an Assistant Milliner).
Other regional work includes The Glimmerglass Festival as a Costume Crafts Intern, Connecticut Repertory Theatre as a Stitcher and First Hand and year with Nashville Repertory Theatre as a Costume Intern.
Maria recieved her MFA in Costume Crafts and Technology from Ohio University in 2017.
